Stage 3 - Rapid Prototyping

In addition to CAD design, H3-D has an onsite rapid prototyping suite for turning CAD models
into waxes ready for casting or electroforming.

• Solidscape T-66 3D wax printer: An example of additive prototyping, the Solidscape builds up 3D objects layer by layer using two waxes. One wax has a lower melting point, and can be dissolved away leaving a fully hollow object.
• REVO 4-Axis CNC mill: An example of subtractive prototyping, the Revo uses a micrometer-fine tapered drill bit to carve into a solid block of wax secured to a mechanical arm, providing a 3-dimensional carved object.
