JewelCAD was one of the first of the CAD software companies to focus specifically on CAD design for jewellery rapid prototyping, and it is still a popular choice for manufacturing, especially in the far east.
Many of its original advantages have set the standard for all other CAD packages (and thus been co-opted by other software companies). But JewelCAD still can do certain tasks faster and better, such as general solid shape deformations and surface manipulation for simple 3D sculpture.
